As the story goes, Lou Barlow started Sebadoh to give voice to his own creative efforts as his other band, Dinosaur Jr., was becoming more and more the J. Mascis show. Unlike many other similar instances where bridges are burned and both bands suffer, this split actually resulted in two great outfits, with burned bridges rebuilt during an amicable reunion.
With a sound that hints at a more bass-driven Dinosaur Jr. with understated vocals, Sebadoh became an influential group in the early 1990’s lo-fi rock scene. Relive days gone by by heading over to their headlining gig at Neumos with openers and Portland indie-rock mainstay Quasi.
