Like most music bloggers (and an ever-increasing number of music fans) in this town and beyond, we’ve been counting down the days till My Goodness releases its debut upon the world.
If you fall into either of the aforementioned camps, you’ve likely had 4/8 circled on your calendar for some time. If you’ve yet to hear the band or if you’ve just forgotten, then today’s your lucky day also as the local duo will be playing an album release show at the Rendezvous tonight.
My Goodness has been heralded by casual listeners and music scribes alike as Seattle’s answer to The Black Keys. The duo’s adroit musicianship and impassioned vocals rightly rank the purveyors of an even-heavier variety of swamp rock among our city’s finest up and comers.
While Scala & Kolacny Brothers at Showbox SoDo is certainly a tough act to pass up, if you’re looking for something on the opposite end of the noise spectrum, head to Belltown tonight to take in My Goodness’ live experience. The show is invite-only, so get in touch with Rendezvous for details on how to get in at this stage in the game.
