Paul Simon at the Showbox Tonight

While we’ve always had a special place in our hearts for Art Garfunkel, the other half of the S&G equation certainly has his share of supporters as well. Even if “Call Me Al” isn’t exactly your idea of a good song, there’s a good chance the rest of Paul Simon’s catalog has hit your ears favorably. Simon’s ability to incorporate global inspiration into his songwriting has added a diversity that other artists have rarely been able to pull off with any hope of sincerity.

If you happened to score tickets to the highly anticipated show at Showbox, you’ll no doubt be treated to the best of his solo career, If you’re really lucky, Simon will reach back to his pre-1971 material to throw in one or two from the all-too-brief Simon & Garfunkel catalog.
