Anacortes’ Phil Elverum of The Microphones has been working hand under his solo pseudonym, Mt. Eerie. His solo work is melodic, haunting and well, eerie. His vocals, alternately creepily whispering and desperately screeching, are a nice contrast to the heavy, rhythmic bass lines and unpolished acoustic guitarwork.
Tonight, Mt. Eerie is headling the Occultural Music Festival happening at the Chapel at the Good Shepherd Center in Seattle. He’ll be joined by Novemthree, and Paintings for Animals and Noisepoetnobody.
