Fight Post-Holiday Blues with Cataldo and Sounds Major Tonight at the Croc

After the holidays, it seems like the first week back to the usual grind takes far longer than normal. So to those of you who are back to work this week like we are, we salute you. As your reward for making it through the week, we’re rewarding you with a great musical recommendation tonight.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: Cataldo offers audio fare that falls somewhere between The Weakerthans and The Decemberists. The local band has made several appearances at our favorite venues these past months, but tonight’s show offers an extra treat.

Cataldo is opening for Sounds Major, a new collaboration between Harvey Danger’s Sean Nelson and talented pianist and member of Kay Kay and His Weathered Underground Kyle O’Quin. While we’ve only heard a limited amount of Sounds Major’s work, we’re fans.

Kick your weekend off right tonight at the Croc, and be sure to say hello if you see us there.

1/6 Sounds Major / Cataldo / Jordan O’Jordan @ The Crocodile :: Tickets are $10 :: Doors at 8:00 PM :: 21+
