The 3 Best Friday Night Shows in Seattle [Something for Everyone Edition]

This April is turning out to be one of the strongest music months we’ve seen in quite some time. Luckily for those who like their live music nights out without an early alarm clock chaser the following AM will be happy that this weekend offers quite a few solid shows that are wholly worthy of your consideration.

We always like to make the decision as painless as possible by recommending one top pick for any given evening. Of course, we stray from that philosophy every so often. Tonight is one of those nights.

Our top pick goes to The Polyphonic Spree at Neumos. If we were betting types, we’d put our chips on this twelve-year old symphonic choral pop group putting on the most entertaining show of the night.

We also can’t overlook the excellent lineup at the Sunset that’s sandwiches Portland’s retro-leaning dream pop group Radiation City with two excellent local country-tinged rock bands. Sons of Warren Oates will open and The Legendary Oaks will close the night.

Last but not least, the legendary David Gedge-led British indie rock group The Wedding Present will be delighting fans with their 21 year-old classic Sea Monsters at the Crocodile.

4/6 The Polyphonic Spree, New Fumes @ Neumos, Doors at 8pm, $19

4/6 Legendary Oaks, Radiation City, Sons Of Warren Oates @ Sunset, Doors at 9pm, Show at 10pm, $8

4/6 The Wedding Present, Pinky Piglets, Zarigani @ Crocodile, Doors at 8pm, $18 incl fees
