If You’re Not Spending Your Night at the Key [Tonight’s Other Shows]

Whether you slept through your alarm or Ticketmaster’s website proved a waking nightmare as you scrambled to unsuccessfully secure tickets months ago, chances are you’re still heartbroken by missing out on the chance to see Thom and co live.

Luckily for you, there’s plenty of life beyond Radiohead in Seattle tonight.

Long-heralded as one of the most compelling examples of indie musicians who combine unparalleled musicianship with diverse instrumentation and a knack for penning hauntingly catchy tunes, Andrew Bird brings his act to the Paramount tonight. As of posting, tickets to see Bird’s impressive whistling and violin-skills in action are still available.

Heartless Bastards are a down-home American rock band from Austin (via Ohio). Lead singer Erika Wennerstrom has a strong, soulful voice that commands the attention of the room. Erika’s vocals, paired with the raw energy of the backing band, Heartless Bastards offers the type of hard-driving, earthy rock you can’t help but feel in your bones.

4/9 Andrew Bird, Laura Marling @ The Paramount, Doors at 8 pm, Show at 9pm, $27.50 – $37.50 plus fees

4/9 Heartless Bastards with David Vandervelde and Brian Lopez @ The Crocodile, 8 pm, 21+, Ticket price: $19 incl. fees
