Seattle’s Best Concerts this Week [Nov. 12]

Indie lovers are going to have a hard choice on Friday – but other than that, it’s clear which will be the best shows in the Emerald City this week.

11/14 (Wednesday) – The Octopus Project @ Chop Suey
A playful, hook-laden indie electronica group from Austin, TX.

11/15 (Thursday) – Kris Orlowski @ Tractor Tavern
Thoughtfully crafted local indie pop with intelligent lyrics and occasionally understated, yet often impassioned vocals.

11/16 (Friday) – Ben Gibbard @ The Showbox
One of the biggest names in indie music, frontman of Death Cab for Cutie and collaborator for Postal Service brings his always amazing solo show to the hometown crowd.

11/16 (Friday) – Patrick Watson @ The Crocodile
Passionate, piano-driven indie pop with a larger-than-life stage presence from Montreal.

11/17 (Saturday) – Minus The Bear @ The Showbox
Hometown musical heroes (including former members of Botch, These Arms Are Snakes and Sharks Keep Moving) have wooed crowds since 2001 with their combination of indie, math and experimental rock.
